Apple iMac MB950LL-A 21.5-inch desktop Review (3.06 GHz, 4GB RAM, OS Leopard)

Specifications: The new Apple iMac MB950LL/A desktop has a very powerful set of specs that will set the standards for the many high-end desktop models to come. This 21.5-inch all-in-one desktop has a 3.06Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM (upgradeable to 16GB!) and a NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor. All of its other features are also top notch, with 802.11a/b/g/n wi-fi, Bluetooth 2.1, 17-watt built-in stereo speakers and a full 21.5-inch HD Screen (1920 x 1080 resolution). This would be the ultimate desktop model, if Apple decides to launch 8x SuperDrive DVD drive instead) in Blu-ray (to one. All in all, this is one of the most powerful desktop models from Apple, not yet!

Design: The Apple iMac MB950LL / A measure 20.8 x 7.42 x 17.75 inches and weighs 20.5 pounds. The general rule, this model is the classic design Apple desktop. The DVD slot is on the side and most of the ports / connections are cleanlined up behind the unit.

The mouse can perform a variety of functions with the use of different finger gestures. Apple has also improved its speakers. They are located below the screen (hidden away from view) and produces much better audio quality than the older generations of desktops. It also comes with the latest Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard OS. With a new 3.06Ghz processor, Snow Leopard OS and the whole host of new features, this new range of Apple iMac desktop has once again secured its reign as the king of high-end designer desktops and best of all, the price is also right. Currently the Apple iMac MB950LL/A retails for just around $1188, an amazing deal for a desktop of these standards.
